Clearing out the back room, I found loads of old issues of The Comics Journal. My initial thought (as always) was to hang on to them – you never know when you might need them for reference, but luckily I came to my senses, and took most of them off to the tip. I held onto Issue 210, because it had a feature called ‘The 100 Best Comics of the Century’.

I thought it would be interesting to go through the list, and see what I thought about the comics on it. I’d forgotten however, that its a cross between the obscure and Fantagraphics own product, much of which I’ve never read, so my series of posts looking at that the 100 Best would be one of my more futile endeavours.
